We are living in a world awash with information, but it is one where loneliness prevails, and technology has replaced heart-to-heart communication. The pandemic isolated us and many of us find it hard to engage with those with different perspectives. We need to relearn the art of conversation, of dialogue, of daring to engage with others in unscripted, unedited, heartfelt talk.
Say Your Peace
The Say Your Peace (SYP) campaign aims to inspire us to re-engage. It highlights the importance of the power of dialogue and the need for genuine, thoughtful conversation, be it with our family, neighbors, colleagues, or friends we have yet to meet.
There’s no denying that we live in a deeply interconnected world. Finding the commonalities that bind us enriches our lives and will help us come together to solve our world’s most challenging issues. Global peace begins when we open our hearts to sincere human connection.

DAISAKU IKEDA
Inspired by Daisaku Ikeda, a Champion of Dialogue & Peace
Daisaku Ikeda (1928—2023) was a proponent of person-to-person exchange as the foundation of peace. From the 1970s onwards, he met with a wide range of individuals in political, cultural, educational, and academic fields for far-reaching discussions that revealed the common humanity and shared values connecting us all. To actualize his vision of fostering dialogue and solidarity for the sake of peace, Ikeda founded a number of independent, nonprofit research institutes that engaged in cross-cultural, interdisciplinary collaboration on diverse issues.
